Director, Technology Talent Acquisition – FinTech
Up to £120,000 + bonus + equity
Remote – London / Europe / US
Reporting to the VP of Talent Acquisition, this is a critical role that will have a high impact on the businesses ability to scale and deliver on its ambitious strategy to be the global leader in its space.
Over the next few years, the business is looking to accelerate the growth of their employee base both in the UK and internationally in order to fuel their product and commercial expansion and to scale their operations. Successful recruitment of high-quality people who will stay and grow with them for the long-term will be crucial.
Key duties and responsibilities:
Contribute to, and influence, the strategy for the global TA function (currently 27 people)
Build, lead, and scale a high-performing Tech Talent Acquisition team (currently 7) supporting the accelerated growth of our Product Development business spanning Engineering, Product, Design, Data, Internal IT and BI (they are going from hiring 1000 in Product Development per year, to needing to hire 400-500 per year)
Partnering with the CTO on organisational structure within Product Development
Develop, promote, and protect the employer brand, partnering with peers and cross-functional partners on the design, build and activation of campaigns
Be the “voice of talent acquisition” within Product Development, providing visibility to senior stakeholders on strategy, roadmap and delivery, and creating a productive feedback loop to continually improve our ability to bring in high-quality Tech talent at pace
Partner with People & Talent leads to build & scale the TA tech stack to continually improve the productivity and measurability of our “recruiting machine”
Partner internally to embed D&I into every aspect of our Product Development talent strategy, in alignment with other parts of the business
Own and continually improve workforce planning for Product Development, balancing monthly recruiting productivity, quality / time / cost. Design and implement an optimised recruiting capacity model, utilizing a variety of internal and external levers to flex capacity proactively based on the needs of our Product Development business
Act as a change leader, in partnership with Talent Leads, operationalising our Talent vision and delivering on our roadmap
Skills and experience
Outstanding track record of professional achievement
Proven Tech recruitment experience with demonstrable leadership having scaled Tech functions from 100s to 1000s of employee’s globally
Experience in a fast-growth tech scale-up or start-up with international presence. Experience in SaaS business is a plus.
Structured thinker with ability to frame and solve unstructured problems
Demonstrated ability to build and lead teams, preferably in a fast-growth, tech scale up business
Ability to build / scale / run highly operational systems and processes to deliver on hard and ambitious targets, with a constant focus on operational excellence and continuous improvement
Demonstrated ability to communicate and partner with stakeholders at the most senior levels, internationally
Proven leadership capabilities, able to inspire and motivate large multi-disciplinary teams, with a focus on enabling growth and professional development
