Project Sales Manager (Racking and Storage Solutions)

Alexander James Recruiting is currently working with a leading supplier of various racking and storage solutions looking to recruit a new Area Sales Manager to cover and develop their client base across Scotland. With excellent, uncapped commission opportunities and scope for growth, this is a great opportunity for an experienced warehouse specialist from a sales/projects background within racking, automation or similar seeking an exciting opportunity with a leading, international organization.

Responsibilities

  • Taking control of the company's current accounts selling to end user's
  • Business development across the same area with a key focus on the Central belt
  • Generate new business by visiting customers on site, conducting site surveys and providing customer quotes for racking and other related equipment
  • Providing a consultative sales approach in order to win new business in the sale of racking and storage solutions as well as automation solutions
  • Take responsibility for region revenue stream and overall growth
  • Liaise with Project Management team and other company stakeholders to assist with customer requirements
  • Liaise with the UK operation and assist in advising on the growth of Scotland

Requirements

The company are particularly seeking individuals from a Project Sales background who have a strong appreciation of Warehouse Solutions and can articulate the benefits of warehouse products and services. Although project management experience is not required it is highly preferable that the successful individual has a strong technical bias and has come from a projects or design background as an example. An individual who is strong in this area who hasn't been in sales but has an interest in moving into this may also be considered as would individuals from other warehousing & logistics backgrounds. Knowledge of CAD is also essential given the need to understand warehouse design. Overall, the company require an individual with ambition who is looking to lead in the growth of their Scotland operation and there are excellent long term opportunities associated with this.

Due to the rapid rise in e-commerce and new projects, they're now looking for a new sales person to expand their presence in Scotland.
