Alexander James Recruiting is currently working with a leading supplier of various racking and storage solutions looking to recruit a new Product Manager to lead the development of a specialist warehouse robotics products. The role is a hybrid position with a national focus and will require either an individual both with the mechanical and technical ability to understand the product range and the interpersonal skill to ensure a strong presence is created across the UK or equally a robotics/automation professional with strong commercial ability. Responsibilities

• Support the racking sales team with warehouse robotics enquiries across the UK
• Create and implement the overall automation & robotics strategy by identifying small and medium level projects and scope for warehouse AMR picking solutions & related products
• Assist the Managing Director with ideas on how to strategize and implement a plan for automation
• Generate new business by visiting customers on site, conducting site surveys and providing customer quotes for automation
• Conduct various product training and be the go to person in relation to warehouse automation & robotics within the company

Requirements

Although knowledge or experience in warehouse automation or robotics is preferable, this is by no means essential. Individuals with qualifications and/or a background in mechanical or electronics engineering or similar is a must and it is highly preferable to have a strong understanding of a warehouse/logistics environment where these products exist. Ultimately, the individual for this position will need to be a strong personality with a degree of versatility able to understand that the position requires both technical capabilities & interpersonal skills. The successful candidate has a fantastic opportunity to take ownership of this project and expand it further.
