Area Sales Manager (Forklift Trucks)

Alexander James Recruiting are currently seeking an experienced and self-motivated sales professional to work for a fast growing company based in the West Midlands who provide various material handling equipment. With excellent, uncapped commission opportunities and scope for growth, this is a great opportunity for an experienced forklift sales professional to take on a new role selling an innovative product range.

Responsibilities

  • Managing an existing client base across the West Midlands & surrounding area
  • Business development across the same area selling the companies innovative forklift solutions
  • Generate new business by visiting customers on site, conducting site surveys and providing customer quotes for forklift hire
  • Providing a consultative sales approach in order to win new business in the hire and sale of material handling and related equipment
  • Take responsibility for region revenue stream and overall growth

Requirements

The ideal candidate will have worked in a sales role within forklift trucks before, with a proven track record in the industry. You will be proactive in your approach to selling and will have a solid understanding of equipment hire. Ultimately, you will have a passion for selling a range of innovative products and see the long term opportunity in this area. In terms of locality, the company are open to individuals anywhere around the West Midlands or within commutable distance. You could therefore be located anywhere from Gloucestershire up to Staffordshire and across to Coventry and will be provided with a region within this to suite your location.

The Company

Based in the West Midlands, our client is a national provider of various handling equipment and sell through both trade and to the end user. Among the products they provide include pallet trucks, forklift trucks & attachments, bollards and guards, drum handling, lift tables and stacker trucks. The company have recently taken on an innovative product range and are now looking for an experience sales professional from within the materials handling industry to expand their operations across the Midlands.
