Senior Business Analyst role overview:

My client a leading technology strong professional services company is seek a robust and experienced Senior Business Analyst to join them in helping to improve their customers journey, whether it be from a website initiative, bill payments and customer engagement.

In-order to be successful as the Senior Business Analyst, you need to have:

  • Have a strong analytical mindset, as you will be looking at customer analytics and looking at how to make improvements.

The Senior Business Analyst role:

  • My client is currently on an exciting journey - they are undergoing a transformation that touches every part of their business and making changes to their people, processes and systems to better serve their customers.

Experience required for the Senior Business Analyst role:

  • Demonstrable, significant and in-depth experience in business analysis; applying business analysis tools/methods/techniques across a range of medium and large complex projects and programmes.
  • Experience of leading and mentoring more junior BA staff on large-scale projects.
  • Extensive breadth and depth of knowledge of multiple business analysis methodologies including but not limited to use cases, user stories, basic UX/UI design, interface design, Datamodelling.
  • Significant experience of successful business process re-design, analysis, definition and documentation including demonstrable experience of standard modelling notation - BPMN, EPC, UML.
  • Significant breadth and depth of expertise in applying business process improvement within complex environments. Experience of establishing and maintaining standards and process.
  • Strong analytical and product management skills required, including a thorough understanding of how to interpret customer business needs and translate them into application and operational requirements.
  • Ability to help the business develop new business initiatives and business models, taking all aspects into consideration and providing insight into how these strategies will benefit the company through an understanding of the business benefits being delivered. Able to validate benefit assumptions to help develop business cases

Additional experience required for the Senior Business Analyst role:

  • Perform qualitative and quantitative data analysis and opportunity assessments, helping identify areas of poor performance in the company and make recommendations for improvement (proactive and reactive).
  • Proven understanding and experience in waterfall and agile/iterative development approaches.
  • Strong technical knowledge of end-to-end provision of IT services (while specific technical knowledge is not required, ability to see the end to end customer journey and understand the technical interlinking of components is necessary).
  • Experience of working within programmes relating to customer billing, collections, customer contact and customer self-service would be beneficial along with experience in a regulated and/or utilities environment.

Qualifications required for the Senior Business Analyst role:

  • Degree, or equivalent level of experience.
  • Relevant Business Analysis qualification eg BCS Business Analysis Diploma or CCBA/CBAP certified.
  • Association for Project Management (APM), Project Management Institute (PMI) or Chartered Management Institute (CMI), Prince2 certified a bonus.
