3rd Line Server Support Technician / Infrastructure Support Engineer - Manchester / Hybrid / WFH

Manchester based, hybrid role with a mix of office, WFH and on client sites - £32,000 to £40,0000 (depending on experience), plus excellent benefits (see the bottom of this advert)

A Manchester based specialist MSP who not only look after IT Support, they are experts in Cloud & Remote Desktop services, Networks & Security, and Voice & Contact Centre support.

They seek an experienced 3rd Line Server Support Technician / Infrastructure Support Engineer who preferably has experience supporting IT from an MSP background, to provide technical services to their growing client base.

Key accountabilities for the 3rd Line Server Support Technician / Infrastructure Support Engineer:

·You will be working within a newly formed and growing senior project engineering team to ensure the continued maintenance and smooth running of their client's infrastructure, break/fix support, proactive support, and new equipment installations.

·Leading more junior engineers.

·Installing and configuring new hardware and software and other routine maintenance tasks.

·Managing the client’s computer systems and providing general infrastructure support.

·Microsoft Office 365.

·Replacing and rebuilding Microsoft sites.

·Clear, methodical and organised in documentation, and neat with network wiring.

Key strengths required:

·Rearchitecting customer networks for stability.

·Spotting opportunities for development/growth of customers.

·Excellent customer facing skills and approach.

Essential skills required for the 3rd Line Server Support Technician / Infrastructure Support Engineer:

·MSP background.

·Network, switching and routing (for example, must be able to install and maintain cisco networks without supervision).

·Providing 3rd Line Technical Support.

·Server experience including Windows server operating system.

·Office 365 and G-suite (education desirable).

·Root cause analysis.

·Citrix (desirable).

·Project orientated as there will be a number of projects to lead on.

·Finding opportunities for new technology.

Due to the travel requirements around this position, a full clean driving licence and access to a car are required.
