Interim Management Accountant£350- £450 per day Aila is excited to be partnered with a subsidiary business in Jersey of a leading UK operator with their recruitment of an experienced Management Accountant to join the team and support the Finance Director on an initial 3-4-month interim basis.

The Management Accountant will maintain the financial records of the company, ensuring all transactions are recorded appropriately, control accounts are reconciled, cash is accounted for and that financial controls are maintained. Also, to assist the Finance Director in ensuring appropriate professional standards are established and upheld.
Although ideally you will be an ACA/ACCA/CIMA Qualified Accountant, we will also consider those who are qualified by experience. You need to be comfortable in a hands on environment and not be afraid to roll up your sleeves and get stuck in with transactional duties where necessary.
Key Responsibilities: - Complete various month end tasks by the set deadlines, including the reconciling of all inter-company control accounts
- Reconcile the Group’s monthly bank statements
- Assist in the implementation of internal policies relating to receipts in line with merchant and card acquirer requirements
- Prepare comprehensive and accurate weekly flash reports and monthly Management Accounts
- Develop KPI’s and other types of management information
- Develop and maintain adequate and effective internal controls to ensure the effective operation of the business
- Maintain the Chart of Accounts for the business, updating and making amendments when necessary
- Assist in the development, implementation and maintenance of various IT systems
- Review systems and procedures with a view to offering suggestions for improvement
- Assist the Finance Director in the close and preparation of the annual statutory accounts
- Prepare the annual budget and associated company reforecasts
- Support the operations side of the business to ensure key individuals have the financial support to help them follow and understand the company’s policies and procedures
- Any other duties at the request of the Finance Director
