Management Accountant

Aila is excited to be in partnership with a leading, global company in Watford, on the recruitment of an astute, technical and personable ACA/ACCA Qualified Accountant to join the business as a Management Accountant. You will gain so much experience working within a varied technical month end role that will give you great exposure to an EMEA environment of a business that is constantly growing organically.

You will be a confident and assuring individual with excellent communication skills, excellent level of Excel and the comfortability of working within a technical accounting role that has exposure to all levels of senior stakeholders.
 
Key Responsibilities:

• Ensure the accuracy of all financial records, preparing month end accounts with commentary and insight for the business
• Preparation of balance sheet reconciliations for key accounts as well as being one of the main reviewers of other balance sheet reconciliations
• Working with regional controllers within the EMEA region to ensure balance sheet compliance
• Act as one of the main contacts for external and internal audit for the UK entities
• Provide support to the Finance Director on analysis required for periodic presentations
• Ensure compliance with all controls and maintain a culture of continual improvement with a focus on data integrity and efficiency
• Proactively provide all internal customers with analysis and support
• Proactively support the business departments and colleagues with finance issues
• Development of effective reports and analysis to ensure accurate measurement against performance KPIs
• Assist with the quarterly requirement to report on balance sheet variances across the EMEA region

 
To be successful in this role, you will be an ACA or ACCA Qualified Accountant working in practice, looking for your first move into industry with a combination of audit and accounts prep experience. You could also already be working in industry with strong technical accounting experience, gained in a large business environment.
