You’ll be integral in the design of new products based on bespoke customer requirements. This is a collaborative role, where you will work alongside engineers and other professionals to deliver the best possible service to a varied client base.
You’ll need to be proficient in the use of CAD systems (2D & 3D), preferably on CATIA. You’ll also be experienced in the design, layout and calculation of turned parts, plastic parts, sheet metal, stamped-bent parts, as well as of precision mechanics and optics.
Furthermore, you’ll have theoretical and practical knowledge of RF/microwave technology and products (connectors, cable assemblies, antennas) and/or fibre optic technology and products (connectors, cable assemblies, enclosures). You’ll also need to be familiar with using physics simulation software; COMSOL, ZEMAX and/or MATLAB.
In terms of qualifications, we’re looking for someone with a degree, or equivalent, in electrical/mechanical engineering.
The salary is on at up to £40,000 with a great package attached including; personal pension scheme, Healthshield policy and company bonus.
