Most people have an element of creativity in them, but only a few have the ability to be truly creative.

We're looking for one of those few. Someone with exceptional creative writing ability and ideas for successful list development.

As a Senior Creative Editor you will be working with the Character team, responsible for the some of the most well-renowned books in children's literature.

You'll be supporting the Publisher, Senior Creative Commissioning Editor and other members of the Character team. Additionally, you will be providing creative contributions to the direction of the list by developing and writing text for specific titles as required and working in close collaboration with the design members.

You will also be executing the creation, editing, copyediting and proofreading of titles in conjunction with other Character team members?. Other key responsibilities will include managing costing requests and P&L's to achieve profitability targets ?and presenting titles at key global intercompany sales conferences; launch meeting, bookfair briefing meetings and bi-monthly brand meetings.

The salary is on at up to £34,000. This is for an 18 month FTC - maternity cover. Furthermore, you'll have access to mental health support and employee assistance programme, health insurance and cash back on everyday medical costs, enhanced pension contributions and life assurance.
