Recruitment Consultant – Sustainability (Team Green!) - London

Are you looking for a sense of purpose?

Looking to be respected and trusted both by your clients and your team?

Looking to be intellectually challenged?

Looking to be a true specialist with the respect and value that comes with it?

Looking to work in a collaborative environment where your team has your back?

Looking for a team where Learning & Development is in the DNA and a daily focus for leadership just as much as for those just starting out?

Then Agency is the home you have been looking for.

Below they outline the tasks involved in the role, but at heart it is more important for them to focus on How you will do what they do, rather than the precise detail of What.

To live and work with a sense of purpose you need to focus on the How.

The job of a Recruitment Consultant will involve:

1. Living their values, of Professionalism, Honesty, and Teamwork.

There are many elements to this, but as an example, living these values means behaviours such as:

Professionalism:

  • Ability to learn, take on new concepts, and share these concepts with other people.
  • Being conscientious; taking pride in every action you take.
  • Resilience / Empathy / Time management / Consistency / Attention to detail.

Honesty:

  • Stand up for what you believe in; what is morally and ethically right?
  • Trusted by peers (vulnerable trust); they understand that you are always honest and fair in your communication.
  • Resilient; being honest often requires the ability to withstand challenge to your opinion / point of view.

Teamwork:

  • Thoughtful of others and their feelings
  • Positive attitude, collaborative, celebrating success.
  • Going above and beyond for colleagues.

2. Caring about your impact on our world and community:

You will share their passion in delivering on the below and more:

  • Sustainability – not only have they established a market leading sustainability team over the last few years, but in addition:
    • They are currently offsetting all of the carbon produced by our combined commutes, along with planting a tree for every placement they make.
  • They support the 10,000 black interns programme with our first intern starting this summer with increased commitments for 2023 and 2024.
    • They will also be visiting a London based sixth form / college later this year to present on the recruitment industry, and the roles they recruit, to minority groups who may not be aware of the avenues open to them.
  • They run an annual D&I survey for the core industries we represent along with analysis and a report on trends and actions to review.
  • Women in Leadership programme – For many years they have built a community of female leaders, and through webinars, seminars and roundtables they are working to support equality at all levels.
  • Charity work
    • Imago – This Easter they distributed 100 Easter Eggs to young carers throughout London and the Southeast.
    • Cancer Research – This April the whole team put themselves out of their comfort zones to raise money for Cancer Research UK.

They then take this sense of purpose and apply it to being the very best at what they do.

The role

This specific position will be working with their London based Sustainability team. The team focus on recruiting roles that are making a real value add impact on the climate crisis.

For example:

  • Director – Natural Capital and Biodiversity
  • Senior Managing Consultant – Climate Targets
  • Ethical Value Change - Manager
  • ESG Sustainable Finance - Private Equity – Manager
  • Climate Change Consultant – Senior Manager

They work with small start up tech firms all the way up to the largest global consultancies. Whoever is seeking to make an impact, they are there to support them.

You will work as a full 360-degree consultant. You will work with and support their very well-established client base, but also be responsible for generating new relationships with new clients. They have a well-established candidate database within their niche, but you will also be responsible for constantly developing and expanding this candidate pool.

Solving the climate crisis is a diverse, complicated, and technical challenge. Therefore, you will need a natural sense of curiosity and be very open to learning new concepts, and new technical areas as the demands of our clients continue to accelerate.

The key to success?

They actively encourage mistakes; all they ask is that you bring a Growth Mindset, a willingness to live their values, to work hard, and to genuinely care about the people around you and the impact they have day in and day out.

The only experience they are asking for is a minimum of 12 months of recruitment experience. If you live their values and have the desire to make an impact and go to work with a true sense of purpose, they will look after the rest.

What do they offer?

  • Wake up every day with a sense of purpose.
  • Go to work knowing you are working with a great group of people who genuinely care about you and are proactive in supporting you.
  • They have always worked flexibly, once you are established in your team, they support a hybrid working model.
  • They have a light bright healthy office in Mayfair, a 2-minute walk from Green Park where they meet for Summer Circuits on a Thursday evening.
  • You will be joining a team in the fastest growing market in London, fees and average billings are consequently high and growing.
  • You will be exposed to a global recruitment market.
  • They are a highly respected, niche leading brand where currently 50% of their work is exclusive or retained.
  • KPI’s are only for company level targets, you run your desk with advice and support from those around you, not through personal daily/weekly KPI’s.
  • Mature grown up environment with 25 days holiday plus the week off between Christmas and New Year.
  • They pay above average salaries because they only hire people looking to constantly learn, develop and become more.
  • Laptop, I-phone, and standing desks as you prefer to work.
  • Annual Season Ticket Loan
  • Free eye tests and flu jabs.
  • Team Hoodie
